Obituary for William Martin "Bill" Sax

William Martin �Bill� Sax of Franklin, died June 19, 2011. Bill was born in Detroit to Catherine (nee Adele) and William J. Sax. He proudly served in the United States Army Signal Corps, WWII-Pacific Theater. Bill served under General MacArthur and witnessed the Japanese surrender at Okinawa. He was a division controller of Marathon Oil, which purchased Aurora Gasoline Company in 1959.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Randolph Sax (nee TePoorten).

Visitation will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Friday 3-8pm, with a sharing of memories service at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Church of St. Owen, 6869 Franklin Road, Bloomfield Hills, Saturday 11am. Friends may visit at church beginning at 10:30am.

Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.
