Obituary for William L. Kellstrom
William L. Kellstrom a 33 year resident of Shelby Twp., died January 4, 2020 at Henry Ford Hospital in Clinton Twp., Michigan. He was 68 years old. Bill was born December 20, 1951 in Detroit to parents, Marie (nee Swierzek) and William H. Kellstrom.
Bill graduated in 1970 from Lakeshore High School in St. Clair Shores and married Catherine Connor on June 28, 1985. He began his 37 year career with Ford Motor Company and retired in 2008 as a paint specialist for DuPont. Bill was an active member of Community Christian Church in Sterling Heights and was the founder of their food pantry. He was an avid Detroit Red Wing fan who enjoyed all sports.
Bill loved his Lord and family. His happiest moments were traveling with his “dear wife”, Cathy and spending time together with his family. Bill will be greatly missed.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Cathy, his loving children, Shawn (Jodie) Cinco, Kim (Kurt) Broadbridge, Kevin (Michelle) Kellstrom, and Keith (Heather) Kellstrom, and his cherished grandchildren, Emma, Avery, Emily, Audrey, Paige, Regan, Michael, and Tatum. He is also survived by his siblings, Susan (Ron) Mattei, Nancy (John) Jones, Tim (Donna) Kellstrom, Pete (Kim) Kellstrom, his sisters-in-law, Carol (Hank) Boyer and Lisa (Jeff) Hartley, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. William is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Marie Kellstrom.
A Memorial Service will be held at Community Christian Church, 42400 Ryan Road, Sterling Heights, on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11am. Friends may visit at church beginning at 9am.
