Obituary for William "Jerry" Wren

Jerry Wren died peacefully on October 21, 2019 at Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital. He was 89 years old. Jerry was born on October 7, 1930 to parents, Agnes (nee Pfeffer) and William Wren. Raised in Detroit, Jerry attended St. Francis de Sales, U of D High School and the University of Detroit, these were the foundation of the devout Catholic life in which he lived.

Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dorothy of 65 years in 2015. He was a dedicated father of six children, Sharon (Wayne) McBride, Jerry, Bob (Denise), Julie (Jim) Walker, Kathy (Wade) Tomlinson, and Colleen (Mark) Everly, loving grandfather of 16, “bonus” grandfather of 5, and a great-grandfather of 13.

He took great pride in all of his children and grandchildren and found great joy in supporting their activities and special events.

Beloved brother to predeceased Frank, survived by his brothers Bill and Pat. Jerry and Bill spent many fond years with Twin Pines Dairy delivering milk, smiles, and kindness to friends and customers in the greater Royal Oak area.

In his prime, Jerry loved fuzzy navels, golf (had suspicious golf scores), euchre, spending the month of March in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and fall bus tours with his lovely wife Dorothy and their good friends.

Please take his smile and kindness with you and share it with others as he always did.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 10:00 am. at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church, 32340 Pierce, Beverly Hills. Visitation for friends begins at 9:30 am.

Memorials appreciated to Beaumont Hospice, 1410 E. 14 Mile Road, Madison Heights, Michigan 48071.
