Obituary for Veronica May Beether

Veronica May Beether ‘Roni’, was born in 1925, and grew up in Highland Park, Michigan, with parents Edward and Mamie Grady. She was the second of four adoring sisters and was known to all as ‘Sis’.

She met the love of her life, Eddie, at 15 years old. They were married just shy of 60 years when he predeceased her in 2003.

Roni was devout in her Catholic faith and found great comfort in her daily prayers and Rosary.

She lived on Emerald Lake in Troy for 40 years and enjoyed an active lifestyle of swimming, golf, tennis and bowling. She and Eddie loved to travel, visiting many countries and spending winters in sunny Florida.

Her greatest joys in life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with many life-long friends.

She lived a rich, joyful, and blessed 93 years and 11 days. She will be missed just as long.

Veronica is survived by her son Edward M. (Sharon) Beether, daughter Barbara J. (William) Ramsay, her grandchildren Christopher (Anita) Beether, Charise (David) Kerns, Michael (Jessica) Beether, Lori (Michael) Desorcie, Cary (Stephanie) Ramsay, and David (Michelle) Ramsay, and her great-grandchildren, Nicolas Beether, Logan Kerns, Rachel Beether, and Payton Kerns. Veronica is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward A. Beether, her parents, Edward J. and Mamie Grady, and her siblings, Marion White, Betty Fox, Margaret (Joann) Schmidt, and James Grady.

Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Friday, January 5, 2-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Lynch & Sons, Saturday, 10am. Burial will be in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.
