Obituary for Thomas B. Bradley

Thomas B. Bradley, a resident of Royal Oak, died October 13, 2011, at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He was 69 Years old. Thomas was born August 16, 1942, in Detroit, the third of seven children born to Beatrice (nee Beauregard) and Kenneth Bradley. He grew up on the east side of Detroit and on October 21, 1972, married Helen Allen.

Thomas worked for the J.L. Hudson Company for 22 years, working his way up from stock boy to store personnel manager. He then went to work as a General Manager for IPG Services Corp. for 23 years.

Thomas was a member of the Great Lakes Green Initiative and was most recently passionate about his work with the Green Garage project in Detroit. His spirit was influenced by the St. Columban community in Birmingham.

Thomas blessed all with his warm smile and positive attitude toward life. He LIVED! Thomas was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by many.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Helen and sons, Timothy and Michael Bradley. He is also survived by his siblings, Margaret (Bill) Forton, Maureen (Bob Ratke) Bradley, Kevin (Tina) Bradley, Timothy (Barbara) Bradley, and Kelly (Ray) Schappert and sister-in-law, Sharon Bradley. Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Beatrice Bradley, and brother, Pat Bradley.

Visitation will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Sunday 4-8pm with sharing of memories at 7:30pm. A Celebration of Life Service will take place at the Green Garage, 4444 2nd Avenue (North of Canfield), Detroit, Monday 11am. Friends may visit beginning at 10:30am. Valet Parking will be provided at the Green Garage. For those attending the service on Monday, please bring a bell. Interment will be in Roseland Park Cemetery, Berkley.
