Obituary for Thomas Arthur St. Charles

Thomas Arthur St. Charles, a longtime resident of Bloomfield Hills, died March 8, 2016. He was 90 years old. Mr. St. Charles was born March 1, 1926 in Alpena, Michigan. A Veteran of the United States Army, he proudly served during WWII.

Mr. St. Charles graduated from University of Michigan with a Masters Degree in Education. He taught at Servite Catholic School, Bishop Borgess, Lawrence Tech, and Michigan State University. He was very active in theatre and produced 26 musicals and plays while teaching at Bishop Borgess. His favorite production was “Mame”. Mr. St. Charles was also involved at Greenfield Village Theatre.

He was a long time member of St. Regis Catholic Church in Bloomfield Hills, where he was a lector. Mr. St. Charles enjoyed traveling and traveled around the world twice with his companion, Jonathan Swift. He had a wonderful sense of humor and will be deeply missed by many.

Mr. St. Charles is survived by his dear companion, Jonathan Swift and several nieces and nephews, Jackie Collins, Steven Collins, Nancy Vam, Kim Crevier, Dan Crevier, Jim Crevier, and Joanne Marlow.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Regis Catholic Church, 3695 Lincoln Drive, Bloomfield Hills, Monday at 10:30am. Friends may visit at church beginning at 10am.
