Obituary for Terrance M. "Terry" Lynch

Terrance �Terry� Lynch, a life-long resident of Birmingham, died February 14, 2012, at Woodward Hills Nursing Center in Bloomfield Hills. He was 78 years old. Terry was born June 9, 1933, in Detroit, to Mary (nee Steiner) and Timothy Lynch.

Terry received his undergraduate degree from the University of Detroit before attending Detroit College of Law, where he graduated with his law degree in 1959. During that time Terry married the love of his life, Margaret Ann Joop, on June 16, 1956.

Terry was a partner in the Secrest, Wardle, Lynch, Clark and Hampton Law Firm. He enjoyed reading, was an avid golfer and a huge sports fan. Terry was a member of the Birmingham Country Club and Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church in Beverly Hills. Terry and Margaret Ann enjoyed spending time in Florida, where they were members of the Mariner Sands County Club in Stuart, Florida.

Terry is survived by his wife Margaret Ann and his children, Kim Lynch, Kevin (Renee) Lynch, Lee Ann (David) Woodruff, and Steve (Shareen) Lynch. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kyle, Jack, Ellie, Camille, Chris, Cooper, Lexy, and Avery, and his sisters, Patti Carroll-Adams, Susie Lessing, Butchie Henry. Terry is preceded in death by his brother, Jim Lynch.

Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) on Friday from 2 to 8pm with a Scripture Service at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 32340 Pierce Street, Beverly Hills, Saturday at 10am. Friends may visit at church beginning at 9:30am. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.
