Obituary for Sharon R. Copacia
Sharon R. Copacia, of Berkley died early Wednesday morning September 27, 2017. She was 57 years old. Sharon was born February 24, 1960 in Detroit to parents, Alice (nee Piatek) and Robert Eatinger.
Sharon graduated from Henry Ford Community College with an associate’s degree and married the love of her life, Tod Copacia on May 21, 1988. Together they raised two beautiful children. Sharon worked for Henry Ford Health Systems for 38 years and was a Senior Human Resource Rep. She was an avid reader, who enjoyed traveling, dancing, and gardening, but especially spending time with her family. She cared for everyone she met and will be deeply missed.
Sharon is survived by her beloved husband, Tod Copacia, two loving children, Chris and Nicole Copacia, dear parents, Robert and Alice Eatinger, and two brothers, Richard Drew and Scott (Cheryl) Eatinger. She is also survived by Tod’s mother, Mary (the late Very Reverend Fr. Leo) Copacia and several nieces, nephews, God children and friends.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 581 E. 14 Mile Rd., Clawson, on Wednesday (October 4th) at 10:30am. Friends may visit at church beginning at 10am. Visitation will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Rd. (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) on Tuesday (October 3rd) from 3-8pm. Prayer service at 7pm. Interment in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.
