Obituary for Seglinda Kelle-Pritchard

Seglinda Kelle-Pritchard of Franklin, Michigan passed away, with her husband and son by her side, on her 58th wedding anniversary, July 6, 2021. She was 80 years old. The Pritchards resided in Franklin since 1974.

Seglinda was born on January 2, 1941 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to parents Pearl and Arthur Kelle. Seglinda earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Tulsa.

She and Clyde moved to the Detroit area in 1970 when Clyde was assigned to the U.S Attorneys Office of the U.S. Justice Department.

Seglinda was the past president of the Franklin Village Arts Council and president of the ECIR Foreign Student Center in Ann Arbor, an interfaith educational mission of fostering understanding, respect, and justice for all religious traditions. She was also a lifelong learner of various customs of indigenous people.

Seglinda was a proud member of Northbrook Presbyterian Church in Beverly Hills where she primarily worked on mission programs. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.

A memorial service for Seglinda will be held at Northbrook Presbyterian Church on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 11am.
