Obituary for Sarah LaMacchio

Sarah LaMacchio
November 7, 1946-May 21, 2021

Sarah was born in Berkeley, California, and grew up in Torrance, California. Sarah is preceded in death by her husband of almost 42 years, Tony LaMacchio. As well as her parents, father Albert and mother Elizabeth Brett, and brother Albert Brett.

Sarah LaMacchio, age 74, peacefully passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021. She joins the love of her life in heaven. She leaves behind six beautiful children, twelve sweet grandchildren, four nephews, and one niece.

Loved mother of Karin (Jim) Crabtree, Sean (Patricia) Daughtery, Chris (Michelle), Concetta (Kyle) Cox, Solomon (Lauren), and Everett (Jeff). Forever cherished Nonna to Kelsey, Michael, Patrick, Robert, Alivia, Aubrianna, Vincenzo, Luca, Stella, Drew and Hannah. Loved Aunt to Tony, Tim, Jennifer, and Tom.

Sarah and Tony married July 17, 1979 in California where they fell in love. They raised a large family, following the principles of their personal relationship with God. They enjoyed dancing in the kitchen, going for walks around the lake with their dog Rylee, and visiting the beaches in Florida.

Sarah valued her friendships and relationships with family. She was always sharing the light of the Lord with others. Many were blessed by her generosity, prayers, amazing food, and scriptures of encouragement. She owned her own in-home day care for over 30 years, instilling hard work, caring heart, love, integrity, and academics to many families.

Sarah was a caring Nonna to her twelve grandchildren. She prayed over each one daily and made quilts for every child by hand. She found joy in having all her grandchildren over to make and decorate Christmas cookies, and homemade pumpkin pies. Sarah enjoyed reading the bible, watching the Hallmark channel and crocheting.

Sarah has requested to have a celebration of life, rather than a funeral. Tony and Sarah will be celebrated in July on their wedding anniversary.
