Obituary for Ryan Michael Diebel

Ryan Michael Diebel was born to Douglas Diebel and Karen Coronado (née Nicoll) on March 28, 1978 in Royal Oak Michigan. He spent his early years in Clawson and his school years in Rochester, ultimately attending Rochester Adams High School.

Ryan was an avid hunter and fisherman. He spent many happy days throughout his life hunting the family property in Indian River Michigan with his father, son, grandfather and extended family. He came from a long line of fishermen and as his cousin remembered ‘he could tie a fishing line faster than anyone he’d ever seen.’

Ryan grew up very close to all of his aunts, uncles and cousins and growing up he spent many happy summers at Lake James in Prudenville, Michigan and on Lake Michigan at the Nicoll cottage in Fairport, Michigan. He was born for the outdoors and his family always joked that of all of them he could live off the grid and flourish.

Ryan was a very talented artist and painter. He had an attention to detail that was unmatched. He was constantly working to help his family, whether it was playing handyman for his Aunt or Grandma or painting for his mom or dad. He was always on the go and could barely sit still if he saw something that needed to be done. Ryan enjoyed making everyone laugh, teasing and playing jokes. He was loving and compassionate and he had a very soft spot for animals and babies.

His children, Austin and Kayse, were his greatest joy in life and his proudest accomplishment. Their love for him was immeasurable and their feeling of loss is profound.

Ryan was lucky to be born into a large family that not only loved him but cherished him deeply. We relished in his talents and accomplishments and saw him for the wonderful and amazing soul that he was. Our wish for him was always to find love, peace and happiness in the midst of the struggles of life. We know that he has found it now but we will miss his cockeyed smile and twinkling eyes forever.

Ryan is survived by his cherished children Austin and Kayse Diebel, his parents Karen (Frank) Coronado and Doug (Kathy) Diebel, grandmother Dorothy Nicoll, siblings Rachel (Doug) Bayne, Aaron (Dana) Coronado, Megan (Bill) Wright and Catherine Coronado and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his beloved grandparents Bob and Wilda Diebel and Jim Nicoll as well as his aunt and uncles Jo and Curt Wright and Bob Heppner.

A Memorial Service will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Roads) Sunday, December 29th at 11am. Friends may visit Saturday, December 28th, 5-8pm and Sunday beginning at 10am.
