Obituary for Roxanne Mary Roark

Roxanne Mary Roark of White Lake, died August 10, 2021 surrounded by her family and friends. She was 50 years old. Roxanne was born December 12, 1970 in Southfield to Janet and Charles Roark. She was raised in Berkley.

She loved Ozzy Osborne, the ID Channel, her judge shows and soaps. Owls were her favorite animal and she enjoyed all of her owl figurines. Roxanne was a great cook and had several signature recipes that her family enjoyed over the years.

An avid prayer warrior, Roxanne read her word of God daily. She fought cancer multiple times in the past 14 years and beat it twice before succumbing to pancreatic cancer which she fought for 2.5 years. That’s just who she was, a fighter.

The life of the party, who always spoke her mind, Roxanne made an impression on everyone she met. She was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, step-mother, sister, aunt, and friend who was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Roxanne is survived by her three sons who were everything to her, Cody, Cory, and Clay Roark, her sisters, Wendy Roark Counts and Susie Roark Stewart and longtime companion of 24 years, Richard Scharf. She is also survived by 4 nephews, 4 nieces, many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Roxanne is preceded in death by her parents, Janet and Charles Roark, and her nephew Kyle.
