Obituary for Rosemary C. Prunty-Pelton

Rosemary C. Prunty-Pelton, formerly of Bloomfield Hills died January 23, 2021 in Misahawaka, Indiana. She was 89 years old. Rosemary was born June 22, 1931 in Jamica, New York to Marie (nee Papritz) and James Donnelly. She graduated from Archbishop Molloy High School in New York.

Rosemary was a Barbizon Model and worked at Chudiks Furs and Apparel in Birmingham, Michigan for nearly 10 years. She was a store manager at Charles Warren Jewelers as well as a Gift Buyer at Wright Kay Jewelers. She enjoyed many trips to the market in New York City. Rosemary was the owner of Gift Selections which was a corporate gift and insurance replacement company.

A member of St. Regis Parish in Bloomfield Hills where she was a Liturgical Minister, Rosemary also enjoyed memberships in the American Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity, and the Village Women’s Club. Some of her other interests included gardening, cooking, investing and business.

Rosemary is survived by her children, Jacqueline Simmons, Laura-Lee (Arthur III) Kelsey, and Peter J. Bronte and grandchildren, Meredithe (Randy) Carnes, Maureen (Chris) Westfall, JJ (Lauren) Simmons, Arthur (Shana) Kelsey IV, Joseph (Sarah) Kelsey, James Kelsey, Quinn Kelsey, Brian Bronte, and Kelly Bronte. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren. Rosemary is preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph Prunty and John Pelton, son-in-law, Robert Simmons, parents, Jim and Marie and brothers, Jim, Bob, Dick, and Gerry.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Regis Catholic Church, 3695 Lincoln, Bloomfield Hills, Friday, January 29th at 11am. Burial will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
