Obituary for Rose Moldovan

Rose Moldovan of Madison Heights died August 3, 2011, at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She was 98 years old. Rose was born February 3, 1913, in Romania, to Flora (nee Toth) and John Saprony.

Rose was very active at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for many years. She cooked in the kitchen until she was 90 years old and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. Rose worked for the Visiting Nurses in East Chicago, Indiana and made over one thousand blankets and slippers for convalescent homes.

As Rose would say �since parting is such sweet sorrow, I�ll say good-bye today, for I won�t be here tomorrow.�

Rose is survived by her daughter, Florence �Keko� Olsowy, son, John T. Moldovan, and grandsons, Michael (Jennifer) Olsowy and Nick (Katey) Olsowy. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Emily, Blake, Cameron, and Arianna, sister, Helen Savage, many nieces and nephews, and sisters-in-law, Marie Saprony, Viola Margaret and Mary Moldovan. Rose is preceded in death by her sister, Marge Kriston and brothers, Nick and Jay Saprony.

Visitation will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Friday 3-8pm with prayers at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church, 20521 Woodward Avenue, Detroit, Saturday 10am. Friends may visit at church beginning at 9:30am. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Detroit.
