Obituary for Robert R. Mandy

Robert R. Mandy of Bingham Farms died December 23, 2011, at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He was 89 years old. Robert was born May 7, 1922, in Detroit to Beatrice (nee Milne) and Roy Mandy. He graduated from Cass Tech High School, Lawrence Tech and Michigan State University with a Masters Degree in Business Administration.

Robert was involved in several clubs and organizations, some of which included; SCORE � Counselor for America�s Small Business, a former Elder and Deacon at Northbrook Presbyterian Church, former board member and past president of the Michigan Special Olympics, past village president of the Village of Bingham Farms and a Men�s Club Member.

Robert enjoyed world traveling, gardening, reading, golfing and was an inventor with patents, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by many.

Robert is survived by his children, Dr. David Robert (Jane) Mandy, Terry Roy (Cathy) Mandy, Suzanne Elizabeth (Mairi Branagan) Mandy, and Bonnie Joy (David) Hough. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Holly Anne (Peter) Minjoe, Joshua David Mandy, Drew Robert Mandy, Alexander Robert (April) Mandy, Brandon Mandy, Dalton Mandy, Trevor David (Shannon) Mandy, Hilary Mandy (Douglas) Cook and great-grandson, Brody Mandy. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Elizabeth.

Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Tuesday 3-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Northbrook Presbyterian Church, 22055 W. Fourteen Mile Road, Beverly Hills, Wednesday 11am. Interment in Franklin Cemetery.
