Obituary for Robert "Bob" Cuffia

Robert “Bob” Cuffia, of Warren, Michigan died December 31, 2018. He was 70 years old. Bob was born August 16, 1948 in Detroit.

A graduate of East Detroit High School, Class of 1966, Bob enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1968. He served as a Sergeant in Germany & Vietnam until 1972.

Bob was employed by Ford Motor Company, The Detroit News, Advanced Mailers and was a co-owner of a successful restaurant, The Salt Mine. He retired to Las Vegas for 10 years and returned to Warren to be near friends and family. He was also employed by Yellow Flag Sports Productions.

Bob loved to follow all of the Detroit professional sports teams, especially the Detroit Lions. Hunting with his boys, playing golf with buddies and always ready for a long, good card game and being a friend who listened were his hallmarks.

Bob is survived by his sons, Michael (Jamie) Cuffia and Robby (Angie) Cuffia and grandchildren, Drew, Alex, and Madden. He is also survived by his sister, Marlana (Gary) Willick and nephews and nieces, John, Annette, Carl, Amanda and Allison. Bob is preceded in death by his sister, Pauline and brother-in-law, Carl Gianotti and parents, Robert and Leona Cuffia.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Veterans Hospital, Hospice Unit in Detroit, for the support and care they gave Bob

Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Sunday, January 6th, 3-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Lynch & Sons, Monday, January 7th at 12noon followed by Committal Services at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
