Obituary for Raymond C. Raezler

Raymond C. Raezler of Dearborn, died November 10, 2010, at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He was 87 years old. Mr. Raezler was born April 22, 1923, in Detroit to Olga (nee Linske) and Charles Raezler.

He graduated from Fordson High School in Dearborn and Detroit College of Business. Mr. Raezler proudly served in the United States Navy during the Second World War. On June 22, 1946, he married June Chapman at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Detroit. Raymond and June were married for over 64 years.

Mr. Raezler was an avid reader and a devoted volunteer of the church. He also enjoyed golf and baseball, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.

Mr. Raezler is survived by his beloved wife, June, and his sons, Michael (Patty) Raezler, Gordon (Edith) Raezler and Donald (Lee) Raezler. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Adam (Colleen) Raezler, Katie Raezler, Mike Raezler, Jr., Stephanie Raezler, Kristin (Steve) Darga, Matthew Raezler, Sarah Raezler, and Aaron Raezler, his great-granddaughter, Addison Darga, and his sisters, Mildred Church and Lorraine (Jim) McKay.

Visitation will take place at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Sunday 3-8pm. Funeral at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 1800 W. Maple Road, Birmingham, Monday 11am. Friend may visit at church beginning at 10am.

Interment in Glen Eden Cemetery, Livonia.
