Obituary for Pearl M. Weber

Pearl Margaret Weber (Kluck) of Arcadia died December 9, 2019 at Bellbrook Care Facility in Rochester Hills. She was 95 years old. Pearl was born January 23, 1924, in Saginaw, MI to Ada (nee Blower) and Frank Kluck. The eldest of two daughters, Pearl graduated from Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw in 1942. She attended Saginaw Business Institute and Henry Ford Community College, then worked with Consumers Power in Saginaw and Ford Motor Company after marrying.

In the 40’s, after the war, Pearl met Bud while double dating with one of his fraternity brothers. They married June 10, 1950. She became a stay-at-home mother when son Karlton was born, followed by daughter Carol. Pearl taught preschool at her home for Karl and other neighborhood children as none were available.

Pearl’s favorite place on earth was Arcadia, Michigan where many special memories with her children and grandchildren were made. Camp Arcadia and the Lutheran Camp Association held a special place in her heart. Pearl made many lifelong friends at the Camp as she worked tirelessly for improvements, even starting the “modern day” craft shop at Camp with a fellow camper. In the winter months she and Bud enjoyed time in Belleair, Florida.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran in Arcadia during the summer and Lutheran Church of the Redeemer during the winter. Pearl enjoyed music, gardening, and entertaining friends and family.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Pearl was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.

Pearl was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bud and is survived by children Karl (Dawn) and Carol Weber. She is also survived by grandchildren Kristine, Rick, Emma, and nieces/nephews, Lisbeth Ewald, Lisa Weber, David Wilkins, Tom Weber. Pearl was preceded in death by her sister Norma Foulds, granddaughter Jennifer Weber, and nephew John Weber.

A Funeral Service will be held at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 1800 W. Maple, Birmingham, Saturday, December 21st at 12 Noon. Friends may visit at church beginning at 10:30am. Burial will take place in Pilgrim Lutheran Cemetery in Arcadia, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials directed to Lutheran High School Northwest or Lutheran Camp Association – specifying Camp Arcadia Archives.
