Patrick Michael Deighan died peacefully surrounded by his family. He was 89 years old. He was most proud of his 10 children, 20 grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was predeceased by his loving wife St. Constance, his sisters, Mary and Ann, and his brother James. He is survived by his children, Daniel, Michael (Robin), Kevin (Nicole), Mary Ann (Robert), Christopher (Ellie), Patrick (Katie), Matthew (Janine), James (Kyle), Joseph (Marielle), Carolyn (Colin), 20 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, and his brother, John (Jan) Deighan.

Pat was a successful businessman and loving father. He was known as the one of the most successful insurance agents for AAA of Michigan. He holds the distinction of being the longest serving sales agent in the Michigan AAA company history where he retired in 2017 at the age of 85. In this capacity he received multiple awards for being one of the top sales agents in the company.

Having celebrated 45 years of sobriety, Pat was an active and proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous helping and sponsoring those in need of assistance with their alcohol and substance abuse addictions. He truly made a difference for so many suffering from the challenges of addiction.

Pat was passionate about the theatre and often performed as a member of the Village Players. He loved to sing and dance and spent many years as both an actor and volunteer in Village Players performances. He was a member of the Rotary Club for over 60 years, was active and an officer in the Birmingham Jaycees, the Community House, Senior Men’s Club, Chamber of Commerce, and a member of Holy Name Parish.

His fondest childhood memories were as a camper and later as a counselor at Camp Grace Bentley on Lake Huron. The camp serves as a summer oasis for children with disabilities in the Michigan region. He later served on their board of directors and was often seen volunteering at the camp.

Visitation will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home 1368 N. Crooks Road, Clawson, Michigan 48017 on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 4-7pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 10am at Holy Name Catholic Church 630 Harmon Street, Birmingham, MI 48009.
