Obituary for Patricia Genheimer

Patty Genheimer of Troy died peacefully with her husband by her side, February 3, 2017. She was mercifully relieved that her suffering and pain are finally overcome
after her long heroic battle against cancer. She was 65 years old. Patty was born September 18, 1951 in Dearborn, Michigan to Catherine (nee Peterson) and Mark Wright.

Patty graduated from Marion High School in 1969. She worked for over eleven years at Diebold and was very proud of the pension she earned from that company.
Patty also worked for nearly ten years, part-time then full-time for BNP Media in
Troy. She was so proud and grateful of the support she received from the employees and owners of that company during the two major crises of her life; after her daughter's motorcycle accident, as well as during and after her cancer diagnosis. This support included the way above and beyond donations the employees and owners made to Patty's favorite support organization, Gilda's Club of Royal Oak, Michigan.

She was a lover of family, friends, music, travel, golden retrievers, one
very unique King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, and dry white wines, not
necessarily in that order.

Patty has always been a very special and deeply beautiful person who will be missed by the many, many wonderful people whose lives were enriched by her much too short presence on earth.

Patty is survived by her beloved husband, Eric, daughter, Erica Nicole, and sisters, Anne (James) Martin and Christine (William “Bing”) Miller.

No visitations or funeral services will be held. Rather a celebration of
Patty and her life will be announced later this spring where all will be
welcomed to participate.

Friends and family are encouraged to honor Patty's wishes by doing
something for *their own* favorite cause or charity.
