Obituary for Pamela A. Truex

Pamela A. Truex of Birmingham died peacefully surrounded by family on July 7, 2018. She was 67 years old. Pam was born June 20, 1951 in Toledo, Ohio to Jane and Carl Lemle.

A graduate of Seaholm High School in Birmingham and Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in physical education. She studied Interior Design at Wayne State University and had a passion for people. Pam was a physical education teacher and coached gymnastics at Athens High School.

Pam also had an entrepreneurial drive and founded Kids Kab, which was introduced on Good Morning America (her favorite show) which became a successful franchise around the country. Pam was an accomplished realtor and earned many prestigious awards. Whether it was in teaching, decorating or finding beautiful homes for her clients and friends, Pam was dedicated to making all those around her not only fulfilled but loved along the way.

She enjoyed gardening, golf, travel, the Hallmark channel and her many dogs but especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Pam was an incredible mom, a loving wife, a caring sister, an amazing Gigi, our best friend and mentor. Always a smile on her face and the most giving soul, she was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Pam is survived by her beloved husband, Al Butts and daughters, Brooke Henderson, Paige Henderson, and Lindsy (Jeremy) Johnson, and her two beautiful grandchildren, Addeline and Elia Johnson. She is also survived by her brothers, Spike (Janet) Lemle and Jim (Leslie) Lemle.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Wednesday, July 11th, 3-7pm.
