Obituary for Mary E. Prisciandaro

Mary E. Prisciandaro of Troy, died February 28, 2012, in Florida. She was 59 years old. Mary was born April 10, 1952, in Pontiac, to Mary Ann (nee Tracey) and Sherwood Waters.

Mary graduated from Shrine High School in 1970 and went on to graduate from Eastern Michigan University in 1974 with a Degree in Special Education and Early Elementary Education. Mary earned her Master�s Degree from Madonna College.

Teaching was Mary�s passion. She taught in Royal Oak, Rochester Hills, Holy Name School in Birmingham, Our Lady Queen of Martyrs School in Beverly Hills, Our Lady of La Salette School in Berkley and most recently at Knudson School in Waterford until her retirement in 2008.

Mary enjoyed snow skiing, bike riding, reading and listening to books on tape, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. A devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, she was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by many.

Mary is survived by her husband, Joseph Prisciandaro, children, Adam (Brianne) Prisciandaro and Justin Prisciandaro, and grandchildren, Annabella and Alex. She is also survived by her siblings, Suzanne Tucker, Patrick Waters, and Kathy McGahey. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Ann and Sherwood Waters.

Visitation at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Tuesday, March 6th, 3-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Columban Church, 1775 Melton, Birmingham, Wednesday, March 7th, 10am. Friends may visit at church beginning at 9:30am. Interment in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.
