Obituary for Marie Gilliland Kahl

Marie Gilliland Kahl (nee Eggen) died peacefully March 25, 2011. Marie graduated from St. Peter High School in Jefferson City, Missouri in 1941, and was a member of Knights of Columbus as well as a longtime member of Farmington Country Club.

Marie is survived by her daughters, Donna (Donald) Koppy and Laurie (Matthew) Machelski, and grandchildren, Timothy, Ryan, Kaitlin and Eileen Koppy. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Susan Danaher, Kathleen Graham, Bill Uriwal, Frank (Louise) Eggen, Janet (Tim) Johnson, Don (Diane), Gary (Emily) and Tom Eggen, Eric (Tracey) and Kristen Dampf, great niece and nephews, Jim (Eddi) and Thomas (Jill) Graham, Megan, Brandon and Sean Danaher, great-great nephews, Preston and J.R. Graham, siblings, Ralph Eggen, Millie (Don) Dampf, and Evelyn Viviano, and brother-in-law, Al Uriwal. Marie was a dear great aunt, cousin, Godmother and friend to many. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Harry Gilliland and Robert Kahl and her siblings, Margaret Uriwal, Bill Eggen, Joe Kuper, and Harold Eggen.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 23815 Power Road, Farmington, Saturday 10am. Friends may visit at church beginning at 9:30am. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.
