Margaret “Peggy” Ann Nicholls was born September 18, 1918, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Arthur and Florence Foster.

She married James Daniel Nicholls in 1942. Jim died in 1996 after 54 years of marriage.
They had two children; Daniel Nicholls of Troy, Michigan and Robert Nicholls of Traverse City, Michigan.

She is survived by four grandchildren; Jasmine (married to Aaron) Wagner, Christopher D. (Married to T. Charnan Lewis) Nicholls, Christopher H. (married to Tara) Nicholls and Lindsay Nicholls. Four great-grandchildren; Zora Hummingbird Nicholls, Benjamin James Wagner and Elsa Grace Wagner, and Emelia Louise Nicholls.

“Peggy” spent the majority of her years raising her family in Bloomfield Village near Birmingham, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. She wrote a Society Column for the Birmingham Eccentric for many number of years. In later years she and Jim purchased a condo and wintered in Deerfield Beach, Florida making many new friends until Jims death in 1992.

Peggy moved to The Heathers, in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and enjoyed living there with numerous pets over the years. (Smokey, Gucci and Heartly)

Peggy was a member of The Village Woman’s Club, Umpty Eight Seniority, Detroit Goodwill, and Christ Child Society of Michigan. She was a member of Saint Regis Catholic Church in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan

Peggy enjoyed spending many Friday nights dining, dancing and singing at The Heathers Club where many members will remember her for her amazing longevity.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Regis Catholic Church, 3695 Lincoln Drive, Bloomfield Hills, Tuesday, March 10th at 10am. Friends may visit at church beginning at 9:30am.

Peggy’s wish was to be buried next to her husband, Jim, son Robert, and other family members at Oak Grove Cemetery, in Chelsea, Michigan.
