Margaret Mary Peggie Walsh of Bloomfield Hills, died peacefully July 8, 2011, surrounded by her family, after a long and courageous battle with leukemia. She was 88 years old. Peggie was born May 9, 1923, in Albany, New York, to Loretta (nee LaMore) and George Edward McGinn.

James and Peggie were married on May 5, 1951, at St. Marys of the Lake Church in Skaneateles, New York, and celebrated 60 years of marriage this past May. Peggie felt fortunate to have the opportunity to live for several years with her family in Caracas, Venezuela and San Juan, Puerto Rico, while her husband was employed with Chrysler International.

Peggie was an avid Detroit sports fan, with her heart belonging to the Detroit Tigers. She enjoyed spending time in her garden with her flowers, especially her roses and lilies of the valley. In her leisure time Peggie enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and shopping with her daughters.
