Obituary for Louise E. Miller

Louise E. Miller, of West Bloomfield, died peacefully at Woodward Hills Nursing Center in Bloomfield Hills with her family at her side on Saturday, August 11, 2012. She was 94 years old. Louise was born February 28, 1918 in Detroit, Michigan to Leota (nee Williams) and George Sewell. She was the oldest of five children raised in Detroit.

After marrying her husband Woodrow �Woody� Miller, they raised three children in the Birmingham/Bloomfield area. Louise was an avid golfer and with her husband, was a member of Birmingham, Oakland Hills and Twin Beach Country Clubs. She will be remembered for the love and pride she had in her family, her warm, gentle personality and poise, grace and style. Her grandchildren will remember the many holiday meals hosted at her home. In this time of sorrow Louise would want her family to rejoice in her long and healthy life, sharing memories of wonderful family times.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her loving sons, Bill Miller and Dan (Virginia) Miller; grandchildren, Scott, Todd, Hollee, Jacqueline, Brian, Laura and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Dr. Guy Sewell; Sister, Erma Patterson and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Miller is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Woodrow Miller; daughter, Lou Ann (Bob) Sperling; granddaughter, Nancy Sperling; sister, Elizabeth Fitzpatrick and brother, Dr. George Sewell.

Funeral at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Rd. (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Thursday 11am. Visitation Wednesday 3-8pm. Interment in Franklin Community Church columbarium.
