Obituary for Larry L. Bollenbacher

Larry L. Bollenbacher passed away peacefully in the presence of family on April 21st, 2012 returning to his Heavenly Father. He was born on March 14, 1938, the son of the late Oscar John and Blanche (Boley) Bollenbacher in Van Wert, Ohio. He graduated from General Motors Institute with a mechanical engineering degree and went on to earn an MBA from the University of Dayton. Larry worked over 35 years for General Motors Corporation, beginning his career with Frigidaire in Dayton, Ohio and retiring from Cadillac Motor Car Division in Detroit, Michigan. Larry was a dedicated and devoted father, friend and employee.

Larry was generous and supportive of his family and friends in every way. He is deeply loved and will be missed dearly. He was preceded in death by his second wife Michelle (Klinko) Bollenbacher. He is survived by his three children Katrina (Marc) Cassier, Annette (John) Siverling, and Travis Bollenbacher, and six grandchildren. He is also survived by his former wife Marsha (Larry) Walkowicz.

Larry enjoyed attending his grandkids plays, performances and many, many sporting events. He boasted of his grandchildren and children whenever he had a listening ear. One of his most told stories involved the matriculation of his kids from Michigan State University, The Ohio State University, the University of Michigan, and the University of Wisconsin. Competitive banter was never in short supply during Big 10 football and basketball seasons.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 (NIV).
