Obituary for Kathleen M. St. Louis

Kathleen M. St. Louis died peacefully surrounded by her family, September 21, 2016. She was 89 years old. Kathleen was born August 13, 1927, in Detroit to Clara (nee Hardy) and Leo Jennings.

Kathleen graduated from St. Anthony High School in Detroit and married Francis St. Louis on June 10, 1950 in Detroit. A former member of the Red Hat Society, she was an active member of St. Thomas More Church in Troy. Kathleen loved to entertain and spend time with her family. She enjoyed her retirement years spending summers on Lake St. Clair in Canada and winters in Naples, Florida. She will be remembered most for her welcoming nature towards all her family and friends.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend, Kathleen was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.

Kathleen is survived by her children, Linda (Richard) Harrison, Mark (Mary Jo) St. Louis. Nancy (Gordon Nock) St. Louis, and Karen (Keith Spork) St. Louis, grandchildren, Amy, Corinne, Robert, Erik, Mark, Ian, Michael, Adam, Meghan, and Zachary and great-grandchildren, Hailey, Anastasia, Tyler, Stacey, Kinsley, and Hunter. She is also survived by her brother and sister's-in-law, Elizabeth (Oscar) Lucier, Donald (Pat) St. Louis, Sr. Mary St. Louis, Sr. Mabel St. Louis, and Sr. Patricia St. Louis and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Kathleen is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Francis St. Louis, siblings, George (the late Gerry) Jennings, Helen (the late Clem) Janis, John (Mary Alice) Jennings, and Irene (the late Bill) Ritter and brother-in-law, Peter (the late Kay) St. Louis.

Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Friday, September 23rd, 2-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica, Woodward at 12 Mile Rd.), Royal Oak, Saturday, September 24th, at 10am. Friends may visit at church beginning at 9:30am. Burial will follow in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.
