Obituary for Kathleen Habdank-Dunikowski

Kathleen Habdank-Dunikowski died peacefully at her home in Beverly Hills, April 8, 2012. She was 90 years old.

Kay was born June 12, 1921, in Toronto, to Edith (nee Hallas) and Thomas Black. She was raised and educated in England and worked at Rolls Royce, where she met her future husband, George. They married in England and immigrated to Canada and then the United States.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed music and ballet and loved nature, particularly time by the lake and taking walks with her grandchildren.

Kay is survived by her children, Christine (the late Warren) Heiter, Andrea (David) Hammond, and Thomas (Lisa) Dunikowksi. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Elizabeth Heiter, Kathryn (Heiter) Merhar, Caroline Heiter, Ryan Hammond, and Rachel Dunikowski and her two great-grandchildren, Kalan and Will Merhar. She is preceded in death by her husband, George.

A Funeral Service will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Wednesday 7pm. Friends may visit beginning at 5pm.
