Obituary for Josiah Lathan Bailey

Celebrating the life of Josiah Lathan Bailey who was born on August 25, 2018 to the union of JeQuan and Tiffani Bailey. The name Josiah is a Hebrew baby name that means Jehovah has healed. Josiah brought an abundant amount of joy and love to his family and their friends. Baby Josiah was a gift from God, born in love, to share love, and receive love.

Our lives are made up of our birth, our dash, and our passing. Josiah’s dash is free from hurt, free from pain, free from fear, and free from mistakes. His dash is filled with love, a trip to the state fair, the apple orchard, church, and family gatherings. His dash was filled with hugs and kisses and playing with MacKenzie and Elijah.

He had a funny way of letting you know when he wanted to be picked up by raising his right shoulder and lifting his arm. He was just getting to the stage where he was cooing and smiling. We could barely walk through the mall without being stopped by complete strangers who wanted to know his name and age and tell us how adorable he is.

Although we can no longer see him, hear him, or hold him, we can always love him and take comfort in the fact that he was a blessing to us all.

Baby Josiah’s work on earth was done early and he went to become God’s little angel on November 14, 2018.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents, JeQuan and Tiffani Bailey; his attentive and protective siblings, MacKenzie Singletary and Elijah Bailey; his grandparents, Chris and Terri George, Jay and Annette Sloan, Cedric Bailey and Chrystal Greason; his God-Parents, Jennifer Watson and Antonio Scott; devoted babysitters, Kathryn and Larry Watson, and a host of Great-Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. His spirit will never die.

Visitation will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home 1368 N. Crooks Road, Clawson, Michigan 48017 on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 2-7pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Citadel of Praise Church, 20280 Lyndon Street, Detroit, Michigan 48223 on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 12pm. Family hour begins at 11am. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, Michigan.
