Obituary for John A. Demanowski

John A. Demanowski, a long time resident of Royal Oak, died January 29, 2011, at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He was 86 years old. Mr. Demanowski was born May 8, 1924, in Detroit, to Lillian (nee Siwa) and John Demanowski. He proudly served in the United States Army during WWII.

Mr. Demanowski was a salesman for Nationwide Insurance Company before retiring in 1987. He was a member of Madison Heights Eagles, Polish League of American Veterans, Post 165 (PLAV), Knights of Columbus and a former member of Alhambra�s. Mr. Demanowski was also a member of St. Dennis Church where he was an usher for many years.

Mr. Demanowski enjoyed fishing and his dogs, but especially enjoyed spending time up north with his family. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.

Mr. Demanowski is survived by his beloved wife Ruth, daughter, Diane Hallett, 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Robert Demanowksi and daughter, Gail Moll-Demanowski.

Visitation at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Friday 3-8pm with a rosary at 7pm. Funeral at St. Dennis Church. 2200 E. Twelve Mile Road, Royal Oak, Saturday 10am. Friends may visit at church beginning at 9:30am. Burial in White Chapel Cemetery.
