Obituary for James R. Voytilla

James R. Voytilla, formerly of Fremont, California, died Friday evening October 13, 2017. He was 71 years old. James was born July 14, 1946 in Sharon, PA to parents Mary (nee Paczak) Michael Voytilla.

James graduated from Cooley High School in Detroit. He proudly served in the United States Army, where he earned the Bronze Star. Following his service to his country, James received his bachelors in arts from the Center of Creative Studies in Detroit. He was an active member of St. Mark Orthodox Church and was an avid sports fan. James had a passion for baseball and was a assistant coach for many of his son, Jordan's baseball teams in California. He will be deeply missed.

James is survived by his loving son, Jordan Voytilla, his sister, Kathleen (Ben) DeMarco. He is also survived by his niece, Stephanie DeMarco and nephew, Matthew DeMarco.

Visitation will be at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Rd., (Between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Friday 4-8pm. Panachida 7pm.

A funeral will be held at St. Mark Orthodox Church, 400 W. Hamlin Road, Rochester Hills, Saturday at 10am. Friends may visit at church beginning at 9am. A graveside interment with military honor will take place in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.
