Obituary for Imogene Moore

Imogene Moore, a long time resident of Birmingham, died August 5, 2011, at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She was 87 years old. Imogene was born January 20, 1924, in Ansonia, Ohio, to Thelma (nee Lawrence) and Forest Hart.

Imogene married Myron Moore September 11, 1944, in Prince George, Virginia, while he was serving in the United States Army, stationed at Fort Lee during World War II. She loved Bingo and Nascar racing, especially when her father was driving. Imogene was an avid Detroit Tigers and Pistons fan but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.

Imogene is survived by her sons, Larry (Diane) Moore and Doug (Merrie Daniel) Moore, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Pat (Bill) Allen. Imogene is preceded in death by her husband, Myron, and sister, Betty Rolph.

Visitation will take place at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Monday 2-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Lynch & Sons, Tuesday 11am. Interment in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.
