Obituary for Ethel Ann Collins

Ethel Ann Collins died peacefully surrounded by her family, May 8, 2017. She was 87 years old. Ethel was born November 6, 1929 in Grindstone City, Michigan to Leslie and Ruth Watt.

Ethel was an Irish Activist and former Secretary for Irish Northern Aid “INA”. She enjoyed writing, travel, and the arts, but especially enjoyed time spent with her family and friends.

Ethel is survived by her daughters, Cathy (Bill) Kellstrom, Carol (Hank) Boyer, and Lisa Collins. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Shawn (Jodie) Cinco, Kim (Kurt) Broadbridge, Kevin (Michelle) Kellstrom, Keith (Heather) Kellstrom, Tim (Angela) Boyer, and Andrew Boyer, great-grandchildren, Emma, Avery, Emily, Audrey, Paige, Regan, Michael, Tatum, and Paisley Jo, brothers, Robert Watt and Don Watt, and step-son Michael (Patricia) Collins. Ethel will be missed by her loving companion Leslie McLean and many dear friends in Dublin, Ireland. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 26 years, Gerard Collins, and brothers, Duane Watt, and Dell Watt.

A private service will be held. Interment in Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak.

Special gratitude to the staff of Hospice of Michigan and Ambrosia Villa for their gentle care of Ethel.
