Obituary for Edward W. Goliber

Edward W. Goliber, of Royal Oak, died May 6, 2012. He was 91 years old. Edward was born November 21, 1920, in Buffalo, New York, to Caroline (nee Clauss) and August Goliber.

Edward received his Ph. D in chemistry from MIT. He then became a research chemist for Caroloy-General Electric. While working at Carboloy in the 1950�s Edward patented a process for making ballpoints, which was used throughout the pen industry

He is survived by his children, Anne (Steve) Albertus, Cathy (Bill) Coleman, Carol (Paul) Bodiya, and Tom Goliber, 10 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Edward is preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth, his brothers Leo and Clare and his sister Agnes.

Visitation will take place at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors, 1368 N. Crooks Rd. (between 14-15 Mile Rds.), Tuesday 3-8pm. Rosary 7pm. Funeral at National Shrine of the Little Flower, Woodward at 12 Mile, Royal Oak, Wednesday 11am. Friends may visit beginning at 10:30am.

Burial will take place in Guardian Angel Cemetery in Oakland Twp.
