Obituary for Edward L. Yuhas

Edward L. Yuhas died February 12, 2021. He was 96 years old. Mr. Yuhas was born in Detroit November 6, 1924, to Sophie (nee Ratajski) and John Yuhas.

Mr. Yuhas worked as a Rigger (Local 575) most of his life. He also had a hand in building Cobo Hall. He was an avid gardener known for his tomatoes and cucumbers; he was famous for his pickles. He served in the Navy on a LST (60) in Normandy during WWII. He was the best husband, father, brother, and uncle. He actually was a great, great uncle. Everyone called him
Mr. Fix-it, because he could create, build, and fix anything! He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by many.

He is survived by his daughter, Doreen Yuhas. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virginia, his sons, Larry Yuhas and Edward Yuhas, and his sisters, Helen Cherfoli and Marie Hyrmak.

A private burial will take place at Roseland Park Cemetery. A Memorial Service for the public will take place at a later date.
