Obituary for Duane "Dewey" Clark

Duane “Dewey” Clark died at his home on May 22, 2021. He was 84 years old. Dewey was born on May 15, 1937 in Armada, Michigan to parents Genevieve (nee Buck) and Charles Clark.

Dewey graduated from Armada High School where he was a drummer in the band and received musical education at Interlochen Center for the Arts. He remained active in the Armada community working as Police Constable for the town. He married the love of his life, Anne Wilson, on July 23, 1977. A marriage that would span nearly 44 years. He and Anne loved to travel. They bought a motor home and travelled for many years. Eventually they got a home in Naples, Florida as a winter residence.

Dewey began working for AT&T where he retired after 34 years of service.
He was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed competitive skeet shooting, fishing, and hunting. He was Top-Gun at the Armada Sportsman Club. He also enjoyed playing racquetball and golf and watching sports, particularly U of M Football. Dewey was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.

Dewey is survived by his beloved wife, Anne, his dear sisters, Margaret (Don) Rewalt and Nadene Ferbister, his brother-in-law Ronald (Jane) Wilson, sister-in-law Bobbie Moore, and a host of nieces and nephews. Dewey is preceded in death by his parents.

A private burial and celebration of Dewey’s life will take place at a later date.
