Obituary for Donald D. Glick

Donald D. Glick, a longtime resident of Royal Oak died January 15, 2017. He was 91 years old. Mr. Glick was born December 4, 1925 in Florida, Ohio to Lula (nee Armbruster) and David Glick. He proudly served in the United States Army during WWII and married Hilda on May 15, 1951.

Mr. Glick was a cost analyst for nearly 40 years for Ford Motor Company and then briefly for Dupont before his retirement. He was a member of the VFW Post 1669 in Royal Oak where he was formerly Vice Commander. An avid reader, Mr. Glick also enjoyed polka dancing but especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his daughters, Deborah Glick, Theresa (Bob) Kasper, and Tammy (Chuck) Brooks and grandsons, David Kasper, Daniel (Amy) Kasper, and Joe Kasper. He is also survived by his brother, Joseph (Ellen) Glick and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Glick is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Hilda and brothers, Clarence (the late Pauline) Glick, Ervin (the late Colleen) Glick and Harold (Virginia) Glick.

A Funeral Service will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Saturday, January 21st at 10am. Friends may visit Friday, January 20th, 4-7pm. Burial will be in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.
