Obituary for Deborah Lynn Ebers Klindt

Deborah Lynn Ebers (Klindt) died at her home in Birmingham September 3, 2012, after a courageous two year battle with cancer. She was 59 years old. Deborah was born October 18, 1952, in Blue Island, Illinois, to Loretta (nee Tiberi) and Earl Ebers, Jr.

Deborah graduated from Mother McAuley High School in Chicago, Class of 1970. She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois in 1974 and her Masters of Hospital Administration in 1976 from the University of Michigan. Deborah was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority.

She married William J. Klindt on August 29, 1982, recently celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary.

Deborah�s professional life included working at the University of Nebraska Hospitals, as well as Henry Ford Hospital Health Systems and the Greater Detroit Area Health Council where she held the position of Vice President. She was also owner and consultant for Ebers and Associates until her retirement in 2006.

After her retirement, Deborah became very involved with Seaholm High School education including sports, band, and play productions. She was the unofficial photographer of football, women�s basketball, women�s lacrosse, and stage plays.

Deborah was a former board member of Health Alliance Plan (HAP) and Operation Able and presently was a board member of Birmingham Education Foundation.

Deborah was a voracious reader and learner. She very much enjoyed the Adult Learning Group at Baldwin Public Library. Deborah also loved to travel and had many plans to travel all over the world.

Deborah is survived by her husband, William J. Klindt and children, Carolyn Klindt, Max Klindt, and Dana Klindt. She is also survived by her mother, Loretta Ebers, siblings, Susan Ebers, Celeste (John) Kralovec, Earl (Lynn) Ebers, II, and Brian (Amy) Ebers, and several nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Earl Ebers, Jr.

Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Thursday 2-8pm with a prayer service at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Name Church, 630 Harmon Street, Birmingham, Friday at 11am. Friends may visit at church beginning at 10:30am.
