Obituary for Cynthia Ena Kresowski

Chester and Cynthia Kresowski were a love story. Chester died April 21, 2019 and two weeks later on May 6, 2019, Cynthia died, presumably of a broken heart.

A Memorial Service for both Chester and Cynthia will be held at a later date.

Cynthia Ena Kresowski of Madison Heights died May 6, 2019. She was 90 years old. Cynthia was born October 31, 1928 in London, England to Ruby (nee Hewison) and Denis Bond.

During World War II, Cynthia’s family lived in London where her mother was an air raid warden. They eventually moved to Southbourne and then settled in Bournemouth, England.
Cynthia attended Bournemouth School for Girls where she earned a school certificate and later she attended Bournemouth University and studied French part-time in the evening after work. She worked at Telephone House in Bournemouth on Burroughs machines, working with wages, salaries, and accounts. She also taught Sunday school.

She met her beloved Chester at a tea dance in Bournemouth, England and they were married January 2, 1954 at the Sacred Heart Church in Bournemouth. Their marriage spanned 65 years and blessed them with their daughter, Ann.

Cynthia’s hobbies included knitting, tennis, floor hockey, rowing, cycling, and cycling tours as well as singing, reading, writing, and reciting poetry. She enjoyed traveling to Italy, France, Niagara Falls, and back to her much loved country of England. She was also very knowledgeable in European History, especially English Royalty.

In the United States, Cynthia worked for a short while in the banking industry calculating wages and salaries.

A devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, Cynthia will be remembered most as a very kind, thoughtful, and caring person. She was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.

Cynthia is survived by her daughter Ann Kresowski, son-in-law, John Tata, and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her dear sister, Isobel Partington, and her parents, Denis and Ruby Bond
