Loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Active gardener and antique collector.

Preceded in death by parents Joseph and Geneva Sink of Detroit
And four siblings; Marilyn, Camille (Pilon), Charles, Grace

Married, September 14th 1957 to John Lassaline (deceased)

Married, October 4th to William Lorimer (deceased)

Bernadine Marie Lorimer, age 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 4th 2020 at Pomeroy Assisted Living, Rochester, Mich. under the care of Hospice and her children. She is survived by her five children; Diana, (Mark) Tiedt, Jeffrey (Heidi) Lassaline, Martin Lassaline (deceased), Denise Lassaline, Chris (Nancy) Lassaline, Carol (Jed) Smith. Along with thirteen grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.

Her strong love for God shaped her heart and shined brightly through her positive approach to life. Her generosity came naturally as she devoted countless hours to help others. Throughout her life, Bernadine was a strong woman who fought her battles quietly. She was a woman of value, who truly cherished her family. She had a courageous smile that could turn any stranger into a lifelong friend. To say she was kind, would be an understatement. Bernadine had a pure heart, and its beat could be felt from miles away.

Bernadine held exceptional artistic abilities which seemed to breathe life into all she touched. Gardens desired her extraordinary talents. To her plants, Bernadine was as significant as their sunlight. The antiques she discovered created a heartwarming feeling in her home. Effortlessly, she shaped beauty with their uniqueness and simplicity. Bernadine’s passion in the kitchen produced exquisite plates. The unforgettable meals she prepared still serve to satisfy many memories. Bernadine’s passions, and so much more, are valued and will surely live on through her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, along with the countless others who were blessed to know her.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Bernadine touched are invited to a Memorial Celebration of Life to be held in the Spring at St. Owens Catholic Church, 6869 Franklin Rd, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48301. Her sweet disposition will be remembered by all that knew and loved her. Details to follow.
