Obituary for Alexander J. Dziklinski Jr.

Alexander J. Dziklinski, Jr. of Troy died April 7, 2021. He was 94 years old. Al was born August 6, 1926 in Hamtramck, Michigan to Aniela (nee Swieboda) and Al Dziklinski. Al proudly served in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII.

He grew up in Hamtramck and married Patricia Bonk there. He worked at Chrysler Corporation as a plant supervisor.

Al was a sharp dresser, who always had a good haircut, well combed hair and a bright smile on his face. He loved food, especially dill pickle soup and polish food, minus the potatoes. Al maintained his physical conditioning by riding a stationary bike 30 minutes every day and walking. While at American House he walked ¼ - ½ mile everyday.

Modest and humble, Al had a conservative Catholic life perspective. He enjoyed everything in moderation.

An avid sports fan, he especially enjoyed the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings. He also enjoyed playing sports and had a “Hole in One” golf ring as well as a “300” bowling game ring. He was competitive and focused to achieve.

Al enjoyed the feel of a warm sun with a gentle breeze and on a cool night he enjoyed a warm fireplace and a southern comfort. He loved music and movies. Frank Sinatra was his favorite singer and he loved John Wayne movies to all kinds of musicals.

Al shared a unique special relationship with his brother Richie who was deaf, that included a silent dialogue between them. He had great neighbors that always watched over him and enjoyed his warm smile and hello. Al enjoyed many special times at the lake with family and friends.

Al is survived by his sister, Dolores (Whitey), brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Beverly Bonk, sister-in-law, Lydia Dziklinski. and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia and brothers, Arthur and Richard (the late Christine) Dzikliski.

Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Twp.
