Obituary for Adeline Derderian

Adeline Derderian of Clarkston died peacefully October 14, 2017. She was 94 years old. Adeline was born December 26, 1922 in Durand, Michigan to Adrian (nee Adelian) and Vahan Gurganian.

Adeline had the voice of an angel. She rocked anyplace that she sang in. She used to sing at St. John’s Church and the Interfaith Choir in New Baltimore. She also sang the Happy Hour in the 1950’s for Channel 4 in Detroit and “Danny Boy” at Most Holy Trinity Church every year for their St. Patrick’s Day Celebration.

She was a big supporter of the American Red Cross and worked there for decades. She was an organizer of the Holy Trinity Christmas Party every year which served over 500 children each Christmas. She loved to bake Christmas cookies and would pass them out to all her family and close friends. She enjoyed taking photos. She always had her camera with her and was the family photo chronologer. Adeline was also an avid doll collector.

Adeline will be sorely missed by all who she touched and will never be forgotten. She loved life and her family and will live on in our hearts and minds forever. Above all was Adeline’s love for her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Adeline is survived by her children, LeVon (Ann) Derderian, Jr., Vaughn (Sybil) Derderian, and Avah (Warren) Ham, 8 grandchildren, David (Judith), Douglas, Darrin (Angie), Vaughn (Jennifer) , Kira (Jeff), Katelyn, Robert (Melanie), and Rachel (Byron) and 21 great-grandchildren, Hannah, Luke, Claire, Elorie, Johnathon, James, Blake, Jacob, Kennady, Ahnika, Vaughn, III, Kaylee, Elliott, Eli, Anisley, Ethan, Sawyer, Oliver, Isiah, David, and Emily. She is also survived by her sister, Margaret (Eddie) Karoghlian. Adeline is preceded in death by her beloved husband, LeVon Derderian.

A Funeral Service will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Rd. (between 14-15 Mile Rds.), Thursday, October 19th at 1pm. Friends may visit beginning at 12pm. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.

Memorials may be made to Hunters Creek Community Church, Music Ministry, 2471 Metamora, Lapeer, Michigan 48446.
